Request Account Deletion
This page explains how to delete your GYMKC account and all data linked to it. GYMKC also works as a web app, so you can delete your account right in this browser without installing the app.
Option 1. Delete it yourself on the web or in the app (processed immediately)
- Go to gymkc.org and sign in with the social account you signed up with (Google · Kakao · Apple · Naver) (the same account you use in the app).
- At the top right, go to the gear icon (Settings) → Account and security.
- At the very bottom, tap Delete account → review the notice → verify it's you (sign in again with the account you use to sign in) → Press and hold to delete.
Option 2. Request deletion by email (if you can't sign in)
Email support@gymkc.org with your account name (nickname) to request deletion. After verifying your identity, we delete your account within 7 days and reply to you.
Data that is deleted
- Workout records · sets · personal records (PR) · programs
- Body measurements (weight, circumferences) · weekly check-ins
- Coach chats · AI analysis results
- Friend connections · community (workout completion) posts and reactions
- Login sessions (all devices) · passkeys · push notification subscriptions
- The account itself (name, login connections)
Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it can't be undone. Copies remaining in backups for disaster recovery are deleted in sequence within 30 days at most (Article 7 of the Terms of Service and Section 6 of the Privacy Policy).
Some data that is kept
- Notification text already sent to friends (for example, "[name] cheered your workout") may remain as a delivery record.
- For web payments made through Toss Payments, payment records (order number, payment identifier, product, amount, payment date, and status), together with payment consent and refund request records, are separated from your account under Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and kept for 5 years, then deleted. Card information and billing keys are deleted immediately.
- Where any other law requires us to keep data, we keep it only to the extent required.
Notes
- Even after you delete your account, app data left locally on a phone (offline caches on other devices) is removed when you delete the app or clear its storage on that device.
