Terms of Service
The Korean version of these Terms of Service is the original, and if this English version differs from it in meaning, the Korean version prevails, except as to sections that appear only in this English version and except where mandatory laws of the country or state where you live require otherwise.
Notice of changes · Announced October 17, 2026 · Effective October 24, 2026
- In Article 5, the channel for applying for the verified creator badge is changed from email to Request verification in the App (Community › My public routines › My coach page). Applications are already received on this screen, and the verification criteria and the retention period of the confirmation materials do not change.
Notice of changes · Announced October 10, 2026 · Effective October 17, 2026
- In Article 8, under the Pro plan limit item, "Features are not blocked even if the limit is exceeded" is corrected to reflect actual operations. The AI limit of the Pro plan is maintained to prevent abnormal use, and once the limit is reached, session analysis and trainer chat continue to be provided in simple mode, while other features cannot be used until the limit is replenished. The numbers and operation of the limit do not change.
- In the paragraph on refunds for web subscriptions in Article 6, "if you turn off auto-renewal, only the next payment stops" is changed to "you are not charged from the next payment onward". This clarifies the meaning, and how it works does not change.
These Terms of Service set out the rights and obligations between KKC Labs (케이케이씨 랩스; hereinafter "GYMKC" or the "Operator") and the Members who use the GYMKC service it provides (the app and the website; hereinafter the "App"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Service. Personal information is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
1. Service Details
The App stores strength training workout records, suggests the weight, repetitions, and rest time for the next set based on the records, and organizes and displays figures on a session and weekly basis. Suggestions are generated solely from calculation rules within the App and records entered by Members.
Some features (workout analysis, trainer conversation, routine generation, photo recognition) use external AI models. Sentences generated by AI are reference opinions and may differ from facts. Decisions made by Members based on the output of AI features and the results thereof are the responsibility of Members. Real-time suggestions during exercise are calculated by internal rules of the App, not by AI.
2. Health and Safety · Medical Disclaimer
GYMKC is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
The weight, repetitions, rest, recovery status, and exercise knowledge displayed by the App are exercise reference information. They are not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, alleviation, care, or prevention of diseases, and cannot substitute for the judgment of professionals such as doctors or physical therapists.
If any of the following applies to you, consult a medical professional before you start: you have been diagnosed with heart disease or high blood pressure or take related medication; you have experienced chest pain, dizziness, or fainting; you have a chronic condition; you are pregnant or have just given birth; or you have recently had surgery or an injury.
If chest pain, dizziness, fainting, severe shortness of breath, or sudden muscle weakness occurs during exercise, stop immediately and seek help; if necessary, call your local emergency number (119 in Korea). Do not continue through pain.
Exercise entails the risk of injury. Members are responsible for judging and adjusting the exercise, weight, and repetitions on their own to suit their health condition and abilities, and are under no obligation to follow the App's suggestions as they are. The App can only know information entered by Members, and if that information is inaccurate, suggestions will also be inaccurate.
3. Member Responsibilities
- Use only your own account, and securely manage social accounts and devices used for login.
- Enter your physical information and records truthfully.
- Do not post harassment, slander, advertising, or illegal information. This applies equally not only to community and crew features between Members, but also to public posts that non-members can also view (public routine pages).
- Do not use the App in a manner that interferes with service operations, such as through reverse engineering or automated bulk requests.
- An account may not be shared with or transferred to another person. In the event of a violation, use may be restricted or suspended.
- Persons under 16 years of age may not use the App. Conservative exercise guidance tailored to the growth period applies to Members 16 to 18 years of age.
4. User Content and Public Posting
Routines, memos, and feedback created by a Member belong to the Member. GYMKC does not have rights to that content.
When a Member makes a routine public, the Member is deemed to permit GYMKC, within the scope of that publication, to display, store, transmit, and reproduce the content and to search, sort, recommend, and summarize it, and, only for routines published as ‘Public’ (anyone can find them), to use only the routine composition to introduce and promote the service (for example, as screen examples in app store listings, on websites, and in informational materials). Introductions and promotions do not include information that can identify the Member, such as the Member's display name, handle, or profile photo. Routines set to ‘Unlisted’ (only people with the link) and routines posted with a source (routines created by someone else) are not used for introductions or promotions. The composition of a public routine (excluding information that identifies the Member) is used for statistics, analysis, and feature development (including AI) to improve the service, and may be displayed in other languages (translated). This permission is royalty-free and valid worldwide, and is limited to the scope above. If a Member narrows the publication scope or unpublishes the routine, new introductory or promotional use and translated display stop, and introductory materials already distributed are replaced according to their update cycle (because they contain no information that identifies the Member, the Member is not revealed in the meantime). Copyright remains with the Member.
The publication scope is set by the Member. The default is ‘Unlisted’ (only people with the link), and if it is changed to ‘Public’ (anyone can find it), the routine may be exposed to search engines. Either way, it opens without logging in.
What is made public is the display name and the routine composition (exercises, number of sets, and rep ranges), and aggregate figures such as the number of people who saved it, the number of likes, and the difficulty distribution. If a Member has created a creator profile, that profile's handle, bio, profile photo, workout location, and external links are also displayed (a routine may be made public without creating a profile). GYMKC does not collect, and does not make public, the profile photos and workout locations of Members under 19 years of age. The weights a Member lifts, individual workout records, and physical information are not included in public routines.
When posting a routine created by someone else, you must state the source. That routine is introduced as “○○'s routine · Copied by △△”, together with a statement that the person named as the source did not post it themselves. The name of a real person may not be used as the poster without that person's consent.
For the source name, only persons who engage in public activities, such as coaches, athletes, or creators, may be stated. For routines of persons known personally, please write only the type (video, book, social media, learned directly) without the name. This is a rule to prevent disclosing real names without consent, and violating posts will be received through reports and taken down.
If the person listed as the source (who does not have to be a Member) makes a request to support@gymkc.org, the relevant post is switched to private without delay and deleted after verification. This channel does not wait for the waiting period of the reporting procedure below. The minimum materials necessary for identity verification may be requested, the poster is notified of the fact and reason for the measure, and if there is an objection, it is reviewed again under the procedures of Article 5.
⚠️ Stating the source does not resolve copyright issues. Unlike factual information such as exercises and set configurations, copying descriptions, coaching phrasing, or program commentary written by another person verbatim may constitute copyright infringement. Even if not listed as the source, the rightsholder may request suspension of posting via support@gymkc.org, and once verified, it is taken down through the same procedure.
Members, with respect to content posted by them, warrant that such content does not infringe on the rights of others, including copyright, portrait rights, and reputation, and does not violate laws and regulations and these Terms of Service. If, due to the Member's intent or negligence, the content infringes upon the rights of others and a third party raises an objection or makes a claim against GYMKC, the Member must resolve it at their own expense and responsibility, and if damages are incurred by GYMKC as a result, the Member is liable to compensate for such damages. Groundless claims are first verified by GYMKC, and GYMKC does not pass the burden of claims confirmed to involve no Member liability to the Member.
Even after a routine is unpublished, copies that other Members have already saved to their saved routines remain theirs. This is because the copy was made at the time of saving, and the copy does not contain an account identifier pointing to the original poster. A saved copy may be used only for that Member's own workouts and may not be published or distributed again. Posts that violate this are taken down after being received as reports.
However, the following two are different. Copies (caches) made by search engines cannot be deleted by GYMKC and disappear according to each search engine's update cycle (deletion requests must be made directly to the search engine). By contrast, it is not that we cannot delete saved copies; we do not delete them at will because they are that Member's data. If there is an order from a court or investigative agency, or a deletion request under personal information protection laws is confirmed, we find and delete even saved copies.
5. Reporting and Operational Measures
For public posts, any logged-in Member may report them (because a reporting history must be kept to distinguish duplicates and abuse). If those who are not Members notify support@gymkc.org, the Operator directly verifies. These reports are not counted toward the number of automated measures below. When a report is received, GYMKC processes it in the following order.
- Receipt: Reports may be submitted up to 20 reports per 24 hours (to prevent a surge in reports). If the upper limit is exceeded, you will be notified of that fact, and reports exceeding the limit are not accepted. If reports that differ from the facts are repeatedly submitted intentionally, the reporting feature may be restricted (30 days).
- Temporary measures: If 3 or more different people report the same comment, that comment is automatically collapsed. A collapsed post is not deleted and remains visible to the author as is. If 5 or more different people report a public routine, it is temporarily switched to private until the Operator verifies it. This measure is lifted only by the Operator's determination, and the poster cannot reverse it on their own. During this time, the link to that routine does not open. For both numbers, reports from accounts for which 24 hours have not passed since signing up are not counted (they are received). A routine temporarily switched to private is automatically made public again if there is no determination by the Operator within 7 days.
- Determination: Whether to delete or restore is decided by a human. It is not automatically deleted.
- Result: If a post is taken down, that link no longer opens.
GYMKC does not bear an obligation to review posts in advance or constantly monitor them, and takes action based on reports and its own verification. If an infringement of laws and regulations or rights is suspected or immediate harm to other users is expected, GYMKC may switch the relevant post to private or delete it without prior notice. In this case, it notifies the fact of the action and the reason after the fact. For Members who repeat the same violation, it may restrict posting features or suspend use.
If a post is collapsed, temporarily switched to private, or taken down, the author is notified. In cases where it is automatically collapsed or temporarily switched to private due to a report, that fact and that the Operator is reviewing it are notified; in cases where the Operator makes a determination and takes it down, the reason is also notified. If you have an objection to the action or determination, please let us know at support@gymkc.org. Objections are received without a time limit, and the result will be notified as soon as verification is complete.
The verified creator badge is granted by GYMKC only to persons it has verified directly, and both granting and revocation are at GYMKC's discretion. Applications for verification are received through Request verification in the App (Community › My public routines › My coach page), and we request the minimum materials necessary for identity verification (a note on your qualifications, affiliation, and active channels, and a confirmation code that verifies ownership of the channel) (retention of the materials: Section 6 of the Privacy Policy). Verification does not mean that the Member's routines are better; it is a confirmation that the person is who they say they are. If impersonation comes to light, the account is transferred to another person, the verification materials are untrue, or these Terms of Service are repeatedly violated, we revoke the verification. Whether to grant or revoke verification is an operational decision of the service, and Members do not acquire a right to receive verification.
6. Subscription and Payment
The only product we sell is the GYMKC Pro subscription, and some features and uses are also available on the Free plan. Which features are on the Free plan and which are on the Pro plan is determined by the comparison table on the Plans screen of the App (see Article 8 for details). Prices and what is included are also shown on the same screen.
If you subscribe in the App on Android, Google Play processes payments, renewals, cancellations (turning off auto-renewal), and refunds. In this case, the App does not store your payment method information, and refunds follow Google Play's policies and procedures. If you subscribe in the App on iOS with App Store payment, the App Store processes payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds, and Apple's policies and procedures apply.
If you subscribe on the web (browser), payments are made as recurring (automatic) payments through the payment gateway Toss Payments. Once you register a card, payment is made automatically for each billing cycle you select (monthly or yearly), and you may turn off auto-renewal at any time on the Settings screen before the payment date. If you turn off auto-renewal, the next payment is not made, and you may continue to use the service until the end of the period you have already paid for. The full card number, expiry date, and CVC are processed by Toss Payments, and the App neither receives nor stores them. To the extent necessary for auto-renewal, we retain only the card issuer, part of the masked card number, and the payment identifier, date and time, and amount.
Refunds for web subscriptions are governed by the Refund Policy. Within 7 days after payment, we refund the full amount upon exercise of the right of withdrawal (청약철회; "withdrawal"); after that, we do not refund periods you have used without any fault on the part of the Operator. If you turn off auto-renewal, you are not charged from the next payment onward, and you may use the rest of the current period as usual. An early termination, which ends your use partway through a period you have already paid for, is applied for on the Manage subscription screen of the App or by email, under the criteria of the Refund Policy (the amount paid less the charge for the period of use and the cancellation fee). If a payment fails, it is retried for 3 days while your access continues, and if payment is still not made during that period, auto-renewal is discontinued.
Whichever route you subscribed through, if you cancel your subscription or terminate it early, only paid features are locked and your records remain as they are.
A free trial starts after you register a payment method and is available once per account. When the trial period ends, your subscription starts with the registered payment method (for web payments, payment is made only if the payment consent described below has been obtained). If you turn off auto-renewal at any time during the trial, you are not charged, and you may continue to use the service until the trial period ends. For a trial started on the web or through Google Play, we notify you in advance by App notification 3 days and 1 day before the first payment. For a trial started through the App Store, you may check the renewal date in the App Store's subscription management. Even if you subscribe again after a withdrawal or refund, the free trial and the first-month discount are not offered again. For web payments, if a free trial ends and converts to a paid subscription, a discount period ends and the price changes to the regular price, or the price increases so that the payment amount becomes larger, we obtain your separate consent to the date and time of the change, the amounts before and after the change, and the payment method during the period from 30 days before that payment date until the day before the payment date, and if you do not consent or do not respond, that payment is not made and the recurring payment ends (you may use the period already in progress until its end). Subscriptions started through an app store follow that store's consent procedures.
Conditions of prices, trials, and discounts: Subscription prices, the length of the free trial, and the eligibility, period, and amount of any discount (such as a first-month discount) apply as displayed on the Plans screen before payment. Any discount not displayed on the Plans screen does not apply, and unless indicated otherwise, each discount is available once per account. Payment consent when the payment amount increases because a trial or discount ends follows the paragraph above, and refund amounts are calculated on the basis of the amount actually paid (Refund Policy).
7. Account and Data
Records belong to the Member's account and may be exported from the App at any time. The export contains the workout records you created (sessions, sets, personal records, body measurements, and condition, and the exercises, routines, and locations you created) for the entire period. Analyses and reports written by AI and trainer conversations can be viewed in the App and are not included in the file (because conversations include messages the Member wrote, we will provide a copy on request to the contact in Article 13). Analyses and reports are generated by us on the basis of the Member's records, and because their text is cleared after 12 months under the retention scope below, their content in a file would differ depending on when it was exported. When you delete your account, your records on the server are also deleted (for the detailed items and periods, see the Privacy Policy). Deleted data cannot be restored, and copies remaining in backups for disaster recovery are deleted in sequence within 30 days at most. However, web payment records that the law requires us to keep are retained for 5 years, separated from the account, under Section 6 of the Privacy Policy. When an account is deleted, the Member's public routines and the likes, feedback, and comments left there are also deleted.
Scope of retention: Workout records (exercise, weight, reps, rest, perceived exertion) are retained without reduction while the account is maintained and are fully included in exports as well. However, the following two items are cleared after a period of time.
- Narrative reports written by AI (sentences in session analyses and weekly reports) are retained for 12 months. Thereafter, only numerical summaries such as volume and intensity remain, and sentences are deleted. Analysis may be received again with the same records.
- Screen state during workout (temporary values for progress, such as timer start time) is cleared when the session ends. Actual rest time and recorded values remain as they are.
For old sessions, plan snapshots may be reduced in size by leaving only items used by screens and statistics. Even in this case, recorded sets and statistical figures do not change.
The Operator may restrict use after prior notice if a violation of the Terms of Service or laws and regulations, or harm to other Members is confirmed. In urgent cases, the Operator restricts first and notifies afterward.
8. Usage Limits of AI Features · Fair Use
Because AI responses incur real costs, we set usage limits on AI features to keep the service running. The limits are shown for each feature in the comparison table on the Plans screen, and that table is the limit currently in effect.
- The AI limits of the Free plan are the number of times you may use each feature per month. The limits reset on the 1st of each month (based on the time zone set by the Member), and uses not made in a month do not carry over to the next month. A feature whose monthly limit has been used up may be used again from the 1st of the following month. The monthly number for each feature is shown in the comparison table on the Plans screen. Workout logging, running routines, the rest timer, and crews may continue to be used regardless of these limits. AI responses on the Free plan are provided in simple mode, and responses created in simple mode are labeled as such on the screen.
- The AI limits of the Pro plan exist to prevent abnormal use, such as automation and account sharing, and are set at a level that normal use almost never reaches. The limits are refilled every cycle. When a limit is reached, session analysis and trainer chat continue to be provided in simple mode, and other features may not be used until the limit is refilled the next day, the next week, or the next month. When responses change, we let you know on the screen. We do not quietly lower quality.
- Failed requests are not deducted from the limit. Requests for which a response could not be generated or the results were not provided to the Member are not counted as usage.
- Automation, resale, and abnormal use are restricted. If repeated calls beyond the pace at which a person uses the App, access through scripts or bots, sharing or lending of accounts, or reuse of API responses in other services is confirmed, we may temporarily restrict the relevant feature or suspend use. In this case, any refund for a period already paid for follows the early termination criteria in Article 4 of the Refund Policy (deduction of the charge for the period of use and the cancellation fee), counting the period up to the date of suspension as the period of use.
Features you use yourself, such as logging, running routines, the rest timer, and crews, have no cap even on the Free plan. These features run on the device, so there is no reason to limit how many times they are used. Real-time coaching, which recalculates the next weight, reps, and rest each time you finish a set, is a Pro plan feature, and its scope is shown in the comparison table on the Plans screen.
9. Changes to Fees and Usage Limits
Depending on AI model pricing, usage patterns, and service operating costs, fees or the usage limits under Article 8 may be changed. Changes disadvantageous to Members (fee increases or limit reductions) follow the following procedure.
- Notice is provided 30 days prior to implementation. Notice is given through in-App notices and this page, and what changes and how is disclosed together with figures before and after the change.
- It does not apply to periods already paid for. Changes apply starting from the next billing cycle.
- If you do not consent, you may cancel. If cancelled after notice and prior to the effective date, fees will not be charged starting from the next cycle, and the remaining period may continue to be used as is.
- Separate consent is obtained for fee increases for web payments. Consent to the amounts before and after the change is obtained from 30 days before the payment date on which the increased fee is first applied until the day before the payment date, and if consent is not given or no response is made, recurring payment terminates starting from that payment (Article 6). App store subscriptions follow the procedures of the applicable store.
Changes favorable to Members (fee reductions or limit expansions) may be applied immediately without separate notice.
10. Service Changes and Suspension
The App may add, change, or discontinue features. Changes unfavorable to paid subscriptions will be notified via in-app notice and this page 30 days prior to the effective date (the same procedure as Article 9). Use may be temporarily difficult due to maintenance, failures, or telecommunications circumstances, and in this case, restoration will be made promptly to the extent possible.
11. Scope of Liability
Public routines are created by the Members who posted them and are not prescriptions of GYMKC. GYMKC does not warrant the accuracy, safety, or effectiveness of public routines, and is not liable for results arising from following them. Whether to adopt and perform a public routine must be determined by the Member in light of their own physical condition and experience. In addition, GYMKC does not warrant that Member content will not be lost or damaged, and Members are advised to preserve important records directly through the App's export.
The App is not liable for results of a Member exercising based on their own judgment (injuries, pain, performance, etc.). However, liability is assumed to the extent prescribed by laws and regulations for damages caused by the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and liability for damages concerning the life or body of a Member is borne in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. To the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations, the total liability of GYMKC does not exceed the greater of the subscription fees paid by the Member directly to GYMKC or through an app market during the 12 months prior to the date on which the cause of the claim arose, and KRW 50,000 (excluding intentional misconduct, gross negligence, and damages concerning life or body). Liability is not assumed for damages caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, or failures of third-party services such as payment gateways, app markets, cloud providers, and AI providers that occurred without intentional misconduct or negligence of GYMKC. Unless there is intentional misconduct or gross negligence, indirect damages, special damages, consequential damages, and loss of expected profits will not be compensated. This Article does not limit rights guaranteed to consumers by law.
If you are a consumer in Australia, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these Terms of Service or the Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies those guarantees or your rights and remedies for a failure to comply with them. If you are a consumer in New Zealand, nothing in these Terms of Service or the Refund Policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
12. Changes to the Terms of Service
If the Terms of Service are changed, notice will be given on the App or this page 7 days prior to the effective date. Changes unfavorable to Members will be notified via in-app notice and this page 30 days prior to the effective date, and what is changing and how will be specified together. It is the Member's responsibility to check notices. If a Member does not agree to the changes, the Member may discontinue use and delete the account prior to the effective date. In this case, if an application is made under Article 6 of the Refund Policy before deleting the account, the amount for the remaining period of the paid subscription will be refunded without a cancellation fee. After deletion, it cannot be processed because it cannot be verified whether the applicant is the Member of that account. If use continues after the effective date, it is deemed that consent has been given to the amended Terms of Service. However, changes that increase the amount of web payments (end of free trials or discounts, fee increases) are not deemed consented to by this method, and separate consent is obtained pursuant to Article 6 and Article 9.

15. Governing Law and Disputes
The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to these Terms of Service and the use of the service. If a dispute arises, please let us know first at support@gymkc.org. The parties will consult with each other in good faith, and if they cannot reach an agreement, a lawsuit may be filed with the court determined under 「민사소송법」 (Civil Procedure Act).
If you are a consumer, the choice of the laws of the Republic of Korea does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country or state where you live (laws that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement), including any right those laws give you to bring a claim in the courts there.
If GYMKC compensates a third party or incurs expenses because a Member violates these Terms of Service or laws and regulations, GYMKC may seek reimbursement from that Member. However, this does not apply if there is no intent or negligence on the part of the Member.
Even if any provision of these Terms of Service violates laws and regulations and is invalid, the remaining provisions will remain effective. The fact that GYMKC did not immediately exercise any right under these Terms of Service does not mean that it has waived that right.
