Cable Kneeling Crunch: Do your hips move as you crunch down?

Keep your hips fixed in place as you curl your torso down. Do not move your hips to bend forward.

How to fix it

  1. Attach a rope handle to a high pulley and hold it from a kneeling position.
  2. Keep your hips fixed in place.
  3. Use your abs to curl your torso down.
Caution Return with control as you come up, without letting the cable pull you.

The app sets the reps for your next set

(For exercises you added to your routine yourself) For example, if you are a beginner and completed all 17 reps in each set at 20kg as planned in your last workout, the app keeps the weight the same and increases your reps to 18. When you log your sets, GYMKC reads your last set and recalculates the weight and reps for your next set.

How far should you curl down?

Sources differ slightly. Some suggest rounding your spine as much as possible. Others suggest curling down only as far as your hips stay in place, and say you have gone too far if your shoulders come close to level. Either way, keep your hips in place as you curl down.
