Cable Pushdown: Are you using body momentum to push the bar down?

Keep your body still and straighten only your elbows to push the bar down. Do not use momentum from your body.

How to fix it

  1. Hold the bar so the backs of your hands face up and your palms face down.
  2. Keep your body still and straighten only your elbows, pushing the bar down until your arms are fully straight.
  3. After pushing all the way down, slowly return the bar.
Caution Do not flare your elbows out to the sides.

The app sets the reps for your next set

(For exercises you added to your routine yourself) For example, if you are a beginner and completed all 11 reps in each set at 20kg as planned in your last workout, the app keeps the weight the same and increases your reps to 12. When you log your sets, GYMKC reads your last set and recalculates the weight and reps for your next set.

Should you keep your torso upright?

Sources differ slightly. Some suggest keeping your torso upright. One study had participants lean slightly forward so the bar would not touch their body. Either way, keep your torso in its starting position as you push down.
