Lying Toe Tap
How to do it
Starting position
- Lie on your back facing the ceiling and raise your knees to 90 degrees.
- Press your lower back into the floor so there is no gap.
- Place both arms on the floor by your sides.
- Exhale and draw your ribs down.
Movement
- Slowly lower the toes of one foot toward the floor.
- Lower only to the point where your toes barely touch the floor.
- Lift your leg back to the starting position using your core.
- Alternate sides the same way.
Breathing
Exhale as you lower your legs, inhale as you raise them.
Cautions
- If your lower back comes off the floor, at that moment your lower back holds the load instead of your abs. Stop there.
- If you swing your legs with momentum, the tension disappears.
- If it is too easy, straighten your knees more to lengthen your legs.
