Band Two Legs Calf Raise (Band Under Both Legs)
How to do it
Starting position
- Stand on the center of the band with the balls of both feet.
- Drape the top of the band over both shoulders.
- You can place your fingertips against a wall or post for balance.
Movement
- Raise your heels as high as possible.
- Squeeze your calves briefly at the top.
- Slowly lower your heels, but only until right before they touch the floor completely.
Breathing
Exhale as you lift and inhale as you lower.
Cautions
- Bouncing by bending and straightening your knees keeps your calves from working. Keep your knees straight and move only your ankles.
- Moving quickly with momentum reduces your range of motion. Pause for a beat at the top.
