Bodyweight Wall Sit Calf Raise
How to do it
Starting position
- Lean your back against the wall and sit until your knees are at 90 degrees.
- Place your feet hip-width apart and plant them firmly on the floor.
- Shift your weight onto your toes.
Movement
- Raise your heels high off the floor.
- Pause briefly, feeling your calves engage.
- Slowly lower your heels and return to the starting position.
Breathing
Exhale as you raise your heels, and inhale as you lower them.
Cautions
- If your ankles roll outward, ligaments can be injured, so lift straight up vertically.
- If your knees wobble, it strains the joints, so hold your position firmly.
