Parallette Pike Push-Up
How to do it
Starting position
- Place the parallettes shoulder-width apart and grip the handles.
- Lift your hips high to form an inverted V shape with your body.
- Keep your gaze toward your feet.
Movement
- Bend your elbows to lower your head down between your hands.
- Pause once your head lowers below the height of the handles.
- Push with your shoulders to return to the starting position.
Breathing
Inhale as you lower, exhale as you press.
Cautions
- If your elbows flare out to the sides, it puts stress on the front of your shoulders. Bend them diagonally backward.
- If your hips drop, it turns into a push-up. Maintain the V-shape angle.
- If your wrists hurt, turn the handles slightly outward.
