Band Triceps Kickback
How to do it
Starting position
- Stand on one end of the band, holding it with one hand.
- Lean your torso forward and bend your knees slightly.
- Place your other hand on your thigh to support your body.
- Tuck your elbow against your ribs and pull it back.
Movement
- Keep your gaze on the floor and hold your upper body still.
- Pivot at your elbows and push the band back and up.
- Fully extend your arms and strongly contract your triceps.
- Slowly return to the starting position while feeling the resistance.
Breathing
Exhale as you extend your arms, and inhale as you return.
Cautions
- Shifting your elbow position strains your shoulders. Pin your elbows to your body.
- Using momentum can injure your joints. Move slowly and with control.
